Hey everybody! Late last year, I set a goal for myself to read and engage with more bloggers – of all types! I focus a lot on personal finance and budgeting, but I wanted to branch out and read some inspiring posts from travel and lifestyle bloggers, too. I stuck to it that goal pretty well, probably because I was mentally ready to stick to it.
One thing I quickly realized was: there is a lot of good stuff out there! Unfortunately, there’s so much stuff out there, that you or I may never even see it because it’s buried by so much information. I know several bloggers do a weekly or even twice a month round up of great posts out there, so I thought – how about I introduce my readers to some of the great writing out there?
The beginning of the year is a great time to start new resolutions or goals (although you can start any time!) so I decided that, whenever I found some excellent writing out there, I would share it with you all on Saturdays! That way you still get my regularly scheduled personal finance programming, but I can also share some of the less-finance related great writing out there too 🙂
The weekly wow will vary a little in format – this week, I found 4 amazing posts out there, but some weeks it might be 2 or 6! I’ll try to keep it short – articles you can read in an hour or less 🙂

How These Traveling House Sitters Saved Over $5000 – this post almost made me get on a plane, no joke. This article from ThinkSaveRetire is all about how Brittnay and Jayden have become traveling house sitters, staying in amazing places around the world, and getting paid for it. This is not a scam. Not only do they get paid to watch and stay in people’s houses, they’re also saving money by not having to pay for their own mortgage/rent and utilities! If I didn’t have adult responsibilities I couldn’t get out of, I would be all over this!
What Are You Proud of Accomplishing This Year? – this post is close to my heart because, like J$ from Budgets Are Sexy, I also like writing down goals and accomplishments! I’m really a paper person by heart, and nothing makes me happier than seeing my old writing on paper. It’s also good to see what “young you” wanted to accomplish!
9 Effective Tips to Declutter Your House Quickly – I needed this post from Miss Millennia Magazine, because I’m in midst of decluttering our space right now! My favorite tip from this list? Set a timer! Decluttering can be boring, so by setting a time (I set 15 minutes), you feel motivated to get a lot done because you know you won’t be stuck there forever 🙂
Top 10 Things to Do in Glasgow, Scotland – ugh, travel!!! Can you see a pattern here? It’s officially been 10 years since I was in Spain for school, and I sincerely miss traveling. Unfortunately, B and I have a lot on our plate this year, so international travel is not in the cards! Luckily, I can follow along vicariously through Helene in Between, who takes amazing travel photos and is currently living in Europe!
