Happy Saturday, everyone! I hope all my US friends had a happy and delicious Thanksgiving meal with family and friends… and if you didn’t, maybe you got to do something enjoyable anyway 🙂
I’m so excited about all the leftovers we have: as an only child, my parents shove reams of leftovers into my hands after big family gatherings, simply because they don’t want to be tempted with all of the delicious food. I’m okay with that! B is from a big family of boys, which means there are never any leftovers, so he’s more than happy to help me out too 🙂 Really looking forward to mashed potatoes for the next week!
Surprisingly, it wasn’t very slow in the personal finance blogosphere! I loved it, because when I had some down time from the family, I still got to catch up on my favorite blogs!
Without further ado, the Sunburnt Saver Weekly Update and Link Love!
Sunburnt Saver Weekly Update
If you missed it, I really like my Time-Saving Kitchen Hacks, because they’re helpful year round. I’m really a fan of stacking utensils in the same section to save time when unloading the dishwasher! Share your best time-saving kitchen hacks – I’m always looking forward to saving time in the kitchen!
It’s the most wonderful time… of the week! 🙂 Link love for all my favorite personal finance (and not always PF) blogs out there!
Okay, I know it’s random to link up to another Blog Love link, but Jessica from Mo’ Money Mo’ Houses is talking about home buying in hers! Good news: they’re approved for the amount they were hoping to be, but now it begins… house hunting! Trust me, it’s not as fun as it looks on House Hunters! Catch up with Jessica and share your stories – or good wishes!
Anne from Money Propeller is giving us a unique peek into her world of turning a blog into a money-making enterprise, and her monthly update is no different! Check out her latest post about how she is $2,100 in the hole – but not for long!
Alexa from Single Moms Income is in her second month of Elite Blog Academy, a blog-and-business-building academy designed and instructed by Ruth from How to Blog for Profit Without Selling Your Soul. Alexa’s progress is incredible, and if you’re a blogger who’s thought about Ruth’s course, you’ll want to stop by Alexa’s post!
I swear I’m not obsessed with Julie from Peanut Butter Fingers (although her dog, Sadie, is adorable!), but in her recent Things I’m Loving post, she reviews a recent Stitch Fix shipment. I love the scarf they sent her! I’ve been considering Stitch Fix for a while, considering my wardrobe is getting shabby in the work-clothes department and is still college-chic in terms of ‘play’/weekend clothes… her post makes me want to sign up, even temporarily, more!
Did you all catch the recent write up of Mr. Money Mustache in New York Magazine? I’m ashamed to say I didn’t know a whole lot about MMM, other than blog posts I read and his frugal-yet-fun lifestyle. Wow, did the NY Mag really introduce him to me! Of course, lots of people didn’t understand his frugal lifestyle and immediately jumped to the conclusion he is depriving himself and his family of… material possessions? I don’t know. Anyway, MMM’s recent post clarifies his position on material wealth, how he lives his life, and how he and his family enjoy the frugal lifestyle. Check it out!
Have a great rest of your Saturday – see you next week!
