Happy Saturday! I hope you’re enjoying your day off, if you have it off! Right now it’s hot (surprise!), but it’s supposed to rain here either tomorrow or Monday. You have no idea how excited I am about that!
Quick update: the past Wednesday it was 103 degrees, so we’re adding $103 so far to my current Weather Wednesday challenge. I have high hopes for savings this month!
In other parts of the country (in the US), does Labor Day actually mean the end of summer? I heard someone mention that on TV, and I started laughing. I wish Labor Day meant the end of summer, but it doesn’t. It doesn’t actually mean anything, since it doesn’t even mark the middle of summer. I guess Labor Day means we’re ¾ the way done with summer, which I still should probably be grateful for.

Did you miss my posts? Well, you should click on over because they were awesome! I went over my fairly pathetic August Recap and my optimistic (but attainable!) September Goals.
On Tuesday, we debated whether or not to couchsurf to save money on travel accommodations. Would you Couchsurf or use AirBnB to save money traveling? So far, most people are saying ‘no’, but add your two cents!

Mel at brokeGIRLrich made me laugh so hard with her recap of DIY fails, because I too get over ambitious and try to do it myself with creative projects. It usually ends up in a big fail – half the time, I get so confused and frustrated that I leave it in a pile on the floor, and B has to figure out how to salvage it (or not!)
I’m so jealous Miss Millennial at Millennial on a Budget has a pool, but after you read her article about how much a pool costs, you might not agree with me. I’m sticking to it though – I would so love a pool! ☺
I loved Connie at Savvy with Saving post on tipping so much, I commented three times. Connie, I swear I’m not stalking you. ☺

Yeah, I’m a sucker for New York Times articles on Millennials, especially if they are subtitled ‘The Millennials are Generation Nice’.
Millennials aren’t job hopping as much – is that really a surprise? I know I’m not leaving my work in the near future just because I’m worried I won’t find anything else. Thanks, Great Recession!
